01 / Overview

Hotworx is a custom, headless web application developed for a modern fitness brand. The platform integrates a member portal, class scheduling, and brand content into a singular digital experience.

02 / The Challenge

The client required a platform that exceeded the limitations of traditional, monolithic e-commerce themes. We needed to unify content management and complex user interactions—such as real-time fitness scheduling and member account management—into a cohesive, fast, and highly responsive interface.

03 / The Solution

We built a headless architecture, decoupling the frontend presentation layer from the backend commerce and scheduling engines. We built a custom user interface that handles dynamic state changes seamlessly, allowing members to book sessions and manage their accounts without page reloads. The design aligns with the fitness industry standard while providing clear navigation.

04 / Technology Stack

The frontend was built using React, providing the flexibility needed for a complex, state-driven user interface. This was integrated with the Shopify API for commerce functionality and a Node.js backend to handle custom scheduling logic.

05 / Outcome

The headless approach resulted in an exceptionally fast, app-like web experience. The integration of commerce and member services into a single, unified interface has provided the brand with a highly scalable, future-proof digital infrastructure.
